About the Role We’re seeking a skilled Greenkeeper to contribute to the maintenance, care and presentation of the golf course, including fine turf surfaces, native vegetation, strategic hazards, and the surrounding landscape. It requires hands-on work and expertise in presenting healthy playing surfaces across the golf property. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the sports turf maintenance industry, a professional and effective team player, and committed to delivering the highest quality golf experience for our members and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily course maintenance duties including mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, approaches and surrounds. Set up and maintain golf course playing conditions, including hole changing, bunker raking, tee rotation and hazard management. Maintain the golf course driving range, practice areas, landscape/garden areas, club house lawn, cart paths and general groundskeeping duties. Support the preparation of the course for tournaments and special events. Undertake other duties as directed and within training scope, such as spray applications, hand watering, over sowing/seeding, repairing green surfaces, vegetation management, aeration and top dressing, rolling and levelling turf. Ensure any needs relating to turf health, pest management or maintenance issues are identified and relayed to Management. Work collaboratively with fellow staff and management to achieve strategic priorities and business goals. About You: A turf management qualification or similar; OR At least 3 years’ experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or grounds maintenance. Growsafe and Approved Handler certification, or willingness to obtain. Good knowledge of, or interest in, turfgrass, landscape management and environmental best practices. Proficient in safe operation of mowing and turf care equipment. Good knowledge of and commitment to health and safety regulations in a greenkeeping environment. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality presentation. A proactive, positive and reliable team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn Knowledge of golf industry standards and customer service excellence. Maintain a high standard of presentation and personal hygiene. Full driver’s licence. Working Conditions: This position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and public holidays, early starts and late finishes. It also requires good health, physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The role is a full-time position (guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week), expected to pay between $30.00 - $32.00 per hour (dependant on qualifications and/or experience).
