Job Summary: The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems for residential and commercial clients. This role requires a strong knowledge of various irrigation systems. The technician will work to ensure optimal water usage, system efficiency, and compliance with environmental standards. Skills and Qualifications: Experience : 5 years Previous experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance preferred. Knowledge : Familiarity with a variety of irrigation systems, controllers, and related technologies. Technical Skills : Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for system installation and repair. Problem-Solving : Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve system issues quickly. Physical Stamina : Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and provide clear explanations. Driver’s License : Valid driver’s license, with the ability to operate company vehicles and transport equipment required. Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. JS6 and Backflow Certification preferred (not required) Ongoing training in new irrigation technologies and industry best practices is encouraged. Work Environment: Physical Demands : The job involves lifting heavy equipment, working outdoors, and sometimes in challenging weather conditions. Schedule : Full-time, with occasional overtime during peak seasons (spring/summer).
