Takedown

Unlisted reads job openings from employers’ own applicant tracking systems through their public APIs. The text of a listing is written and published by the employer, not by us. We store it, make it searchable, and link back to the source.

This page is how you ask us to take something down. Use it if you are:

• an employer who does not want their openings listed here
• a rights holder who believes content here infringes your copyright
• a person named in a listing who wants that reference removed
• anyone reporting content that is unlawful or should not be public

You do not need a legal claim. Write to support@unlisted.careers from an address at your company’s domain, name the company, and say you want your listings removed. We stop reading your boards and remove what we already hold.

We do this on request and we do not argue about it. If you later want back in, the same address is how you say so.

Send one email to support@unlisted.careers with the subject line “Takedown” and these five things:

• the address of every page you want removed, one per line
• what the content is and why it should come down
• if it is a copyright claim, what the original work is and where it lives
• your name and a reply address we can reach you at
• a statement that the information you have given is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them

Give us the page addresses. A description of the content without a link means we have to guess which of hundreds of thousands of listings you mean, and guessing is how the wrong one comes down.

We acknowledge every takedown email within two business days. We remove or restrict content that is clearly infringing, unlawful, or reported by the employer who published it, and we tell you when it is done.

A listing we remove stops appearing in search and its page stops resolving. Because the same posting can reach us again on the employer’s next sweep, a removal is recorded against the source so it does not come back.

If we do not think content should come down, we say so and explain why, rather than leaving the request unanswered.

If your content was removed and you believe that was wrong, reply to the message we sent you, or write to support@unlisted.careers with the address of the page, why you believe the removal was a mistake, and a reply address. We review it and answer.

We close accounts that repeatedly post or upload content they have no right to. This is rare on a product whose content comes from employers’ own systems, and it is stated so the rule exists before it is needed.
