Position Summary This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2-3 years of manufacturing experience who wants to take ownership of projects, drive improvements, and contribute to new product launches in a fast-paced production environment. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will work closely with operations, quality, engineering, and production teams to improve manufacturing performance, troubleshoot issues, and support the successful launch of new products. Key Responsibilities Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality Lead and support Lean, Six Sigma, and cost-reduction initiatives Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities Maintain standard work instructions and process documentation Production Support Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions Support process capability studies, equipment validation, and cycle time improvements New Product Introduction (NPI/NPD) Partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams to launch new products Support process design, tooling development, feasibility assessments, PPAPs, first articles, and production trials Ensure successful product launches with minimal operational disruption Systems & Data Management Utilize ERP systems (IQMS preferred) to manage production data, BOMs, routings, and inventory accuracy Maintain data integrity and generate KPI reports to support decision-making Assist with system enhancements and manufacturing process integration Collaboration & Compliance Work cross-functionally to support plant and business initiatives Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Support capital projects, including equipment specification, installation, and validation Perform additional duties as required to meet business objectives Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field Familiarity with ERP systems, IQMS preferred Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and project management skills in a manufacturing environment Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly on the shop floor Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications Experience in rubber, urethane, or related manufacturing environments Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) Knowledge of material science and regulatory/compliance standards Experience with statistical analysis and process control tools Why Join Molded Dimensions?
