JOB DESCRIPTION VIRTUAL PHARMACIST Work Location: Remote Reports To: Medical Director / Pharmacist in Charge ABOUT THE THRIVE CENTER The Thrive Center is positioned as Bermuda's primary medicinal cannabis center, dedicated to providing patients with safe, lawful and dignified access to quality-assured medicinal cannabis under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals. The Thrive Center provides services and products in accordance with its current licence and applicable requirements. The Center is committed to maintaining appropriate professional standards, documentation, internal controls and procedures in relation to its operations. ROLE OVERVIEW The Virtual Pharmacist provides remote pharmaceutical support to patients of The Thrive Center by answering telephone enquiries, providing medication counselling, processing prescription refill requests, coordinating dispensing, securely processing telephone payments, and arranging medication collection. The role ensures patients receive safe, evidence-based advice while maintaining compliance with Bermuda's medicinal cannabis regulations and Thrive's dispensing policies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Answer patient telephone calls and provide medication advice. Counsel patients on the safe use of prescribed medical cannabis products. Process prescription refill requests and verify patient information. Process secure telephone payments. Coordinate medication preparation and collection with the dispensary team. Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record. Escalate clinical concerns to the prescribing physician when appropriate. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and pharmacy standards. QUALIFICATIONS Registered Pharmacist in good standing. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience in community, clinical, or telepharmacy practice preferred. Knowledge of medical cannabis is an asset.
