Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our wonderful team in Lawton, Oklahoma. This position primarily consists of the following: The Position: Evaluate and treat a wide range of speech and language disorders Create comprehensive treatment plans Serve as a team member for multidisciplinary evaluations Diagnose and treat disorders related to feeding/oral and motor/swallowing issues Provide family education and training to assist in transfer of skills Supervise SLP assistants as needed Work in an outpatient, private-practice setting Maintain client records Maintain confidentiality of patient records in according with HIPAA and State and Federal Regulations Qualifications: 2+ years’ experience working with children and families Experience working with augmentative and alternative communication Prior experience working with children with autism or other intellectual disabilities Possess a degree that includes an internship from an accredited Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology, or as required by applicable law and/or regulation Maintain an Oklahoma State License Training and experience in areas of: feeding/oral and motor/swallowing Meets education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP, granted by ASHA. Be familiar with PECS, AAC, ASL Excellent communication skills with other providers and families Must have great problem-solving skills Available full-time – 40 hours/week Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
