Position Summary: The Admissions Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking services. This role is responsible for coordinating the intake and admissions process, ensuring a smooth transition for clients from initial contact to program enrollment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-centered environment. Key Responsibilities: Respond to inquiries from prospective clients, families, and referral sources via phone, email, and walk-ins. Complete pre-screening and intake assessments. Schedule clinical assessments and coordinate with therapists, case managers, and program staff. Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations when required. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams regarding client admissions. Follow up on pending referrals and ensure all necessary documentation is received. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Prior experience in behavioral health, medical, or social service setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of insurance verification and intake procedures is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems (e.g., Alleva, KIPU).
