About the Role The JAAW Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a Network Engineer to support the War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration effort in support of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). This role will support the design, implementation, analysis, and operation of secure network infrastructure supporting mission-critical Department of Defense environments. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cloud, systems, cybersecurity, software, data, and AI/ML teams to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across WDP environments. Responsibilities Design and support LAN, WAN, intranet, and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, planning, and troubleshooting. Support secure network architectures across WDP environments. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to reliability and scalability. Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support preventative measures. Implement and maintain network security measures in coordination with cybersecurity teams. Support network integration across development, test, integration, staging, and production environments. Maintain network diagrams, configurations, technical documentation, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications Active Secret security clearance required prior to onboarding. U.S. citizenship required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Experience supporting computer networks, network architecture, network engineering, or related infrastructure. Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, routing, switching, network architecture, and data communications technologies. Experience analyzing and troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues. Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work onsite in Arlington, Virginia. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government environments. Experience supporting classified or highly secure network environments. Experience with cloud-connected or hybrid network architectures. Familiarity with DevSecOps, automation, or configuration management. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or mission-critical network environments.
