Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Contract : Full-Time, Permanent Reports To : Managing Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor Renumeration: Excellent package/benefits available for the successful candidate Job Summary The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor manages the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring delivery within budget, on time, and to quality standards. This role involves preparing budgets, conducting cost analysis, and evaluating tender submissions, as well as negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor collaborates with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide financial oversight, resolve cost-related issues, and identify value engineering opportunities. They monitor project finances, manage risks, and ensure compliance with regulations and contractual obligations. With strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines, the Intermediate QS plays a key role in the successful execution of construction projects while further developing their expertise. Key Activities Preparing and reviewing project budgets, estimates, and cost plans to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with project objectives. Conducting detailed cost analysis and benchmarking against industry standards to evaluate project feasibility and identify cost efficiencies. Negotiating pricing and contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favourable terms and maintain budgetary control. Preparing tender documentation, issuing invitations to bid, and evaluating submissions to select the most suitable contractors or suppliers. Tracking expenses and maintaining detailed cost records, generating progress reports to monitor budget performance. Identifying potential cost savings opportunities and recommending value engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency. Liaising with stakeholders, including project managers, site teams, and clients, to provide updates and address financial or contractual concerns. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle. Assisting in the management of variations, claims, and contractual disputes to minimize financial risks. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery while maintaining financial oversight. Education & Experience Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within commercial/residential projects
