At Layup Parts, we're developing the technology that will build the future. We're a manufacturing technology company replacing months of lead time with days, using proprietary software, automation, and advanced manufacturing systems built for speed. Our customers are inventing what's next, in aerospace, defense, robotics, and beyond. To keep up with them, manufacturing has to change. That's what we're building. We're looking for a Computational Geometry Software Lead to lead the team building the software tools that turn complex manufacturing engineering problems into scalable, automated workflows. This role sits at the intersection of software, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering. You'll work closely with our manufacturing engineers to understand how composite parts and tooling are designed and built, then lead a team of software engineers developing the tools that make those processes faster, more reliable, and more automated. The ideal person for this role comes from a manufacturing or mechanical engineering background and has strong programming experience, including experience working with computational geometry, CAD/CAM, or geometric modeling. You don't need to be the deepest algorithm expert on the team, but you should be technical enough to guide engineering decisions, understand the geometry problems we're solving, and help translate real-world manufacturing challenges into effective software solutions.
