Bookkeeper Trainee

At Monahans, part of Sumer , we're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Bookkeeper to join our team. No previous bookkeeping or accountancy experience is required. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We'll support you in gaining your professional qualifications through AAT Level 3 or Level 4 , providing hands-on experience alongside structured study support to help you build a successful career in accountancy. What you'll do Assist with bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients Process invoices and financial transactions Support bank and account reconciliations Assist with VAT returns and management information Learn and work with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks Develop a strong understanding of accounting principles and client servics An interest in finance, bookkeeping, or accountancy Strong numerical and organisational skills Good attention to detail A proactive and positive approach to learning Strong communication skills GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English No prior experience is required.
