Lead, Web Development Parallel · Remote We’re hiring a developer who thinks like a designer. Parallel is a design studio. Since 2013, we’ve built products and web experiences for ambitious startups, mostly in AI and B2B SaaS. Around 40 of us. All obsessed with craft. The role Most developers look at an ambitious design and start listing what won’t work. We want the one who starts figuring out how it will. You’ll lead our web builds end to end: marketing sites, product experiences, work that’s visually complex and technically clean. You’ll partner with designers, own client conversations, and build a small dev team around you as we grow. What you’ll do Lead small to medium web projects independently, scoping to launch Build on Webflow, WordPress, Strapi, or whatever the project actually needs Partner with designers. Push the work, don’t just execute it Talk to clients directly: estimates, timelines, tradeoffs Hire and grow a small dev team as we scale Set the quality bar. Pixel-perfect is the baseline, not the ceiling Who you are 5-odd years building for the web, across platforms and frameworks You pick the right stack for the job and learn new ones fast A designer at heart. Spacing, type, motion. Sloppy details bother you The weird, visually ambitious brief excites you AI-native. The old constraints have shrunk, and you use that to say yes more often Easy to work with. Clients trust you, designers want you in the room Not for you if Your first instinct is “that’s not possible” You think design is someone else’s job You’d rather only write code. This role talks to humans too
