Credentialing Specialist

About the Role The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle of provider credentialing and re-credentialing, ensuring all applications are accurately prepared, submitted, and monitored through completion. This role maintains up-to-date records of licenses, certifications, and required documents, proactively tracking expirations to prevent lapses. The Credentialing Specialist also updates and manages provider information in the MODIO credentialing database to ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements. What You'll Do Preparing credentialing and re-credentialing applications on behalf of physicians/providers Completing provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitor applications and follow-ups as needed Gathering, organizing, and maintaining copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates,malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers Tracking license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals Maintaining and updating credentials in MODIO credentialing database What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or GED certificate 2+ years' experience in a medical office (preferred) Work and Excel experience (required) EHR/EMR experience (preferred) What We Offer Collaborative and friendly work environment Full coverage for Employee PPO Medical insurance 401k and Profit-Sharing Program Paid Vacation, Floating Holidays, Regular Holidays, Sick Time Employee Discount Programs Internal Mobility About Golden State Orthopedics & Spine We’re proud to be a leader in the orthopedic healthcare industry and one of the largest orthopedic practices in the Western United States.
