System analyst

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst who will own business and systems requirements analysis and documentation, so that solutions are built accurately, efficiently, and with minimal rework. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into how systems actually work, structuring complex information clearly, and bridging the gap between business needs and development-ready specifications. Mission Ensure high-quality analysis and documentation of business and systems requirements, so that solutions are developed accurately, efficiently, and with minimal rework. Expected Outcomes First 3 Months Get up to speed on the company's core products, systems, business processes, key integrations, and stakeholders Take over requirements analysis for at least 1–2 product areas and introduce a consistent approach to requirements documentation Independently clarify business needs and prepare development-ready tasks with clear scope, acceptance criteria, and process/data flow descriptions Within 6 Months Independently lead requirements analysis for several initiatives in parallel Work closely with the business, IT Product Owners, Architects, Development, and QA Document the key system integrations, data flows, and dependencies within your area of responsibility Identify weak points in the requirements-gathering process and introduce improvements that reduce ambiguity and rework during development Within 12 Months Fully independently own requirements analysis in your area — from initial business need through to solution delivery Maintain a structured, high-quality, and predictable analysis process, with system documentation kept consistently up to date Deliver tasks to the development team that are sufficiently well-prepared, without significant additional clarification needed mid-sprint Actively contribute to improving analysis, documentation, and collaboration processes, and report regularly on analysis status, risks, and dependencies Experience & Technical Skills At least 3 years of experience as a systems or business analyst Demonstrable work samples — real technical specifications, process diagrams, integration descriptions (anonymized) Independent experience writing SQL queries (PostgreSQL) for data validation and analysis Understanding of REST APIs and system integration principles Experience collaborating with a development team in an Agile environment — task clarification, estimation, acceptance criteria Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence Ability to create process, system-interaction, and data-flow diagrams; BPMN/UML knowledge is an advantage Experience analyzing requirements for financial products (lending, payments) is a plus Latvian at a high level; English at a professional level What You Will Work On Analyzing and documenting business and systems requirements across product areas Clarifying business needs and translating them into development-ready tasks with clear scope and acceptance criteria Mapping and documenting system integrations, data flows, and dependencies Writing SQL queries to validate and analyze data Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, IT Product Owners, Architects, Development, and QA Identifying inconsistencies, gaps, and dependencies early, and clarifying them with the right stakeholders Continuously improving requirements analysis and documentation processes Cultural Fit You will succeed in this role if you: Enjoy digging into how existing systems actually work before proposing changes Ask enough clarifying questions to remove ambiguity before handing off requirements Pay close attention to detail and catch inconsistencies others might miss Can structure complex, messy information into something clear and actionable Proactively identify dependencies and risks rather than waiting to be asked Enjoy close, ongoing collaboration with both business and technical teams You may struggle in this role if you: Prefer working only with requirements that are already clearly defined Are reluctant to dig into how an existing system works Don't ask enough clarifying questions when something is ambiguous Overlook details or struggle to structure complex information Delay flagging contradictions or dependencies until late Avoid close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders Offered salary for this position is starting from 3,200 EUR gross What We Offer The opportunity to grow and develop with DelfinGroup, a Nasdaq Riga-listed company with ambitious expansion plans Hybrid working model Health insurance after the probation period Employer contributions to the INDEXO 3rd Pension Pillar after the probation period Paid parking next to the office Regular office snacks, genuinely optional team-building activities, and tailored professional training opportunities The opportunity to work across a broad set of the company's core products and systems, with direct influence on how requirements shape delivery Close collaboration with IT Product Owners, Architects, Development, and QA teams Recruitment Process Initial screening call with HR Predictive Index test Interview with the hiring manager Analysis/case task Culture fit interview Reference check Offer If you enjoy turning ambiguous business needs into clear, development-ready requirements, we'd love to hear from you.
