Role Overview: Our client is seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented External Auditor to join their audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting statutory and non-statutory audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) while ensuring compliance with Maltese laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and perform audit assignments for a variety of clients across different industries. • Review and analyse financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAPSME. • Assess internal controls, identify risks, and provide practical recommendations. • Prepare audit documentation and reports for review by senior management or partners. • Liaise directly with clients and maintain strong professional relationships. • Stay updated on developments in auditing and accounting standards issued by the MIA and MFSA. Requirements: • Currently working towards or holding a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent). • A minimum of 1–3+ years of experience in audit, accounting or assurance. • Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and Maltese financial reporting frameworks. • Excellent analytical and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements.
