About the Position: The IT Support Engineer will provide day-to-day IT support services to employees in the Philippines office while collaborating with regional and global IT teams. The role is responsible for ensuring stable IT operations, supporting end users, maintaining IT assets, and assisting with cybersecurity and infrastructure initiatives. Key Accountabilities: Provide Level 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and collaboration tools. Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Manage user accounts, access rights, and endpoint configurations. Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment preparation and account provisioning. Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate lifecycle management of hardware and software assets. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet services. Support endpoint security solutions, patch management, antivirus, and vulnerability remediation activities. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs, procurement, and technical support. Support meeting room technologies and audio/video conferencing systems. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. Ensure compliance with company IT, cybersecurity, and information security policies. Participate in local and regional IT infrastructure projects as assigned. Key Experience Preferred: Experience of providing technical support in a corporate IT environment. Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems. Good understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Office applications. Basic knowledge of Active Directory, networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi technologies. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems. Experience with endpoint security solutions and patch management processes. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and effectively within a regional support team. Previous internship experience within Hitachi Rail or a similar enterprise environment is an advantage. Education/Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
