We are seeking a Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Assessment and Approvals team, working from our conveniently located Sydney office. In this role, you will provide senior technical and project leadership while supporting the continued growth of our team and client relationships. Key responsibilities will include: Playing a key role in growing, developing and mentoring the Sydney Assessment and Approvals team Building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving business development opportunities Leading client and stakeholder meetings and providing trusted, strategic environmental advice Successfully managing multiple projects, including technical delivery, budgets, resourcing and timelines Providing senior technical input and quality assurance across environmental assessments, planning and approvals projects Developing and reviewing quality management systems, processes and technical methodologies to support high-quality project delivery Your Expertise and Skills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. 15+ years of professional experience, with extensive experience in a consulting setting Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institute in Environmental Science , Planning or related field Extensive experience in regulatory approvals within New South Wales Experience in infrastructure and/or resource sector approval Proven experience with EIS, State and Commonwealth approvals Onterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
