School-Based Nurse

Job Title: School-Based Nurse Pay Range: $40-50/Hour Job Description: Leave Coverage starting in November | $40-$50/hr. | Full-Time | Elgin, IL| School-Based | IL LPN or RN License Required About the Role: Provide comprehensive health services to students in a school-based setting. You'll conduct screenings, administer medications, evaluate ill students, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure every student's health needs are met so they can focus on learning. Why Join Us: CEU/license reimbursement and tuition assistance Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Paid sick leave, holidays, and vacation What You'll Do: Assist with vision, hearing, TB, dental screenings, and head lice checks Provide specialized health care including tube feeding, suctioning, and medication administration (Diastat, insulin) Evaluate ill students and administer first aid Maintain accurate health records and a safe, orderly health office Communicate student health conditions to parents and staff while maintaining confidentiality Oversee inventory and order first aid supplies Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall well-being of students What We're Looking For: Must Have: Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) At least one year of nursing experience in schools, hospitals, clinics, or health agencies DOJ/FBI background check and TB clearance Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to exercise sound judgment in emergency situations Preferred: Previous experience in a school health setting Knowledge of federal, state, and district health policies Experience with basic anatomy and emergency medical procedures About Point Quest Group: Point Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
