Founding Software Engineer, Robotics Infrastructure

Lambda Robotics builds autonomous systems for physical infrastructure. We’re looking for a founding software engineer to build the platform that turns individual robots into a secure, reliable fleet deployable across many customers and sites. **What you’ll own** * Build the infrastructure for managing and operating fleets of robots * Design robot registration, identity, authentication, and access-control systems * Build secure multi-tenant architecture that isolates each customer’s robots and data * Develop remote deployment, configuration, software updates, and rollback systems * Build logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident-recovery infrastructure * Develop APIs and customer interfaces for commanding robots and viewing their status * Build reliable pipelines for robot telemetry, video, logs, and operational data * Work closely with robotics engineers to productionize teleoperation, autonomy, and data collection * Define the architecture needed to scale from a few robots to thousands **What we’re looking for** * Deep experience building backend, distributed, cloud, or device-management systems * Comfortable working across Linux, networking, APIs, databases, and deployment infrastructure * Ability to design reliable systems that interact with real physical hardware * Strong ownership and comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment **Nice to have** * Experience with robotics, ROS 2, IoT, edge computing, or autonomous systems * Experience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, observability, or over-the-air updates * Experience building secure multi-tenant SaaS or fleet-management platforms * Familiarity with real-time video streaming and unreliable network environments
